Description
Up for auction: An authentic, original Pepsi Invaders game cartridge for the Atari 2600. This game is also known as "Coke Wins!" It is rated "Unbelievably Rare" by AtariAge. Digital Press puts it in the Top Ten rarest Atari 2600 games. This is an authentic, original, and working game cartridge. I point that out because the original cartridge never came with a label, and people may think this is a bootleg--it is NOT a bootleg, nor is it illegal in any way. Please see the pictures, where I show the contents of the game cartridge. You can clearly see that there is an original printed circuit board that matches the ones shown at this link and at this link. On my pictures, please note the timestamps--I took the pictures to show the game working, show the cartridge and its contents, and show it still working after I reassembled it. I bought this cartridge about 20 years ago at a flea market just outside of Atlanta (Coke's home town). I was a kid picking up Atari games at flea markets. One day I bought a set of games and this game was in it. I didn't know much about it at the time, but kept it in my collection until now. "Pepsi Invaders" was a promotional cartridge made by Atari and given to Coca-Cola executives in 1983. A special run of just 125 were made--who knows how many are left now! Also, the Atari 2600 console, TV, joystick, and cat are NOT included, and are only pictured to show the game working. Again, you are bidding on the original game cartridge only.
